Who Is Jesus?

We take this opportunity to introduce you to Jesus Christ the Son of the Living Go. We aim to at the end of this have a better understanding of who Jesus is and hopefully when you have met Him you will begin to walk a life that is worth while, with meaning and direction in Him.

This introduction is in the form of a narration of the bible story . A story of a family that you are invited to become a part of.

It all began in Genesis 1 vs 1 “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” The Genesis 1 narration of the Bible goes into length to narrate the fact that God created all things on the Earth, the animals, plants, clouds, air and the whole fullness of the Earth. He created a perfect Earth, which was able to replenish and sustain itself. 

In Genesis 12vs7 “God created man in his own image in the image of God He created them” for anyone to fully understand why one should receive Christ we have to understand why God created man. 

 God created man to:

1)      Have a relationship with Him: God being the giver that He is created a being in His own image. Genesis 12vs7 God created man a little lower than Himself and to understand it fully we can look at the relationship of parent and child. He calls us His children because that is what we are. Children are supposed to commune and have a relationship with their parents.

2)      Have dominion : Genesis 12vs8 says God “… blessed them and said “have many children, so that your descendants will live all over the earth and bring it under control. I am putting you in charge of the fish, the birds and all the wild animals”.

God created man in His own image He also gave man what He called a free will, which is the ability to choose what one wants. Without the free will man would have been like the animals created. There had to be an option to choose if Man was said to have free will so God placed 2 trees in the garden, trees that had consequences which would follow upon being consumed.

These trees brought:

1)      knowledge of good and evil and ultimately death.

2)      the tree of life would bring immortality i.e one would not taste a physical death.

 Why Is Jesus?

Man made a choice and ate the tree of Knowledge of good and evil and this led to the separation of God and Man. God being the Father He is devised a plan to redeem the children that had rejected Him through the choice that Adam made. This plan involved Jesus who offered Himself as a sacrifice to reunite God with his Children (Mankind).

God looked on the Earth and found a Man he could partner with to make this plan to to pass. The Man he found was Abraham. Abraham chose to believe and follow God. This started in motion the redemptive plan of God which would unfold over thousands of years through Abrahams family that later became known as Israel.

Why the Bible?

The Bible is a combination of writings from different people in different times that documented the plan of God for future generations. It documented their failures, victories and pains. This narration of stories also became a letter from God Himself who preserved it from generation to generation so that he could make Himself known.  The Bible documented the travels and redemption of the family of Israel to the point where it became an open invitation to all of Mankind despite your color creed or tribe. The Bible is indeed a miracle that has survived war, famine, changes in the world from when it started getting documented. Why the Bible? It is alive and able to transform one into the original image that God created one to be.

Why get saved?

Salvation is a gift God made to Mankind and it is a choice that must be freely made. John 14:6 “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. Jesus was born not knowing any sin and he managed to overcome all forms of Sin by using His freewill to do so. This then made Him worthy of becoming the unblemished sacrifice that was needed to activate the gift of Salvation. 

Getting saved ensures that you and I are reunited with God our Father and maker. This is necessary as we are passing through this life and to go back to God in the afterlife we have to make this choice or we become doomed to a place made for those that rebel against God.

As you all have heard we have an enemy who is after our souls and his job is to kill, steal and destroy as many of us as he can before his day of Judgement comes. This is the same enemy that convinced Adam to make a wrong choice.

You and I have an opportunity to get it right today. 

All you have to do is pray the following prayer.

" Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, I would like to reestablish my relationship with God through the sacrifice that you made. Come into my life and save my soul. I thank you today. In your name Jesus. Amen" !!!!
